Meinhardt Group CEO, Omar Shahzad, participated in a panel discussion titled "How to Cope With the Challenges of Data Centres in the Intelligent Computing Era" at the Global Data Center Facility Summit in Singapore on 17 May.
The panel discussed the impact of rapid growth in artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), and other intensive workloads on data center design and operations. Omar shared his perspectives on providing reliable, sustainable, and future-proof data center architectures to meet these evolving demands.
"AI and HPC workloads are driving exponential growth in the data center industry, with the market expected to grow 15 to 20 times between now and 2030. To support AI/hyper-scale computing needs, we must innovate cooling solutions, embrace renewable energy sources, and prioritise flexibility, scalability, and design reliability," stated Omar.
